Fault Code Reader?

Hey all,

Got a power-loss problem with my Clio DCI in which i need to get a diagnostic check in order to find out whats wrong...

Instead of going to a local garage and paying £30 for 1 check, i was wondering if the fault code readers on ebay were any good? if so which one would you recommend me to buy?

not really worth it unless you work on cars, plus i wouldn't touch the ones on ebay really.

just pay the £30 diag charge it's worth it.
