fault finding... emissions light on!

seem to have an issue with the clio folks!

washed the car as i would normally friday night, went to move it but seem to of got stuck in a 'limp home mode' revs sat at 3k with the orange warning light on the dash, think the manual read somehting like water in the electrics! left it over night and next morning started up fine. get into to it today and move it only to have the emissions light come on and stay on :quiet:

for something that was supposed to be a cheap alternative to a honda s2k this is seriously winding me up with faults this car seems to be having!

any ideas on the reason behind the emissions light? have searched and came across coil issues. was told by the garage the exhaust is less than 6 months old but unknown age of the CAT as that could be original. what sort of prices are CAT's?

any info would be great many thanks.

My light is on since I put the induction kit and backbox on, I had the cat tested and it was fine.

maybe the leads arking out on the top of the engine! i had that happen. Prob nothing to do with washing the car and more to do with it being french!
