Federal rsr's or r888's track tyre

  Ph1 T
Recently bought my new ph1 and it has 4 rsr's on which have done 1 trackday was new last month, are these on par with the r888 or not as good

I had the Toyo's on my 182 and though they were great on track

Not bothered about either been good on Road as I have some road tyres aswell

Ultimate dry grip on the 888s will be a tad higher. But i used the RSRs on 2 trackdays and they were pretty good.

I run RSR's and they are a really good all round tyre both in the wet and the dry. Wear rate IMO is really impressive. Mine have a hard life and after doing around 2500 miles on the road, a track day at Snetterton and 2 track days at the Nurburgring they have only worn around 1mm.

Think I'll keep the rsr's on then they have done one day at snetterton and off to the ring in July so will be doing a few laps out there and will just get some 888's when these are fully worn out

When I was at the ring last weekend I was very surprised to see just how many people were running the Federal's. You will see for yourself soon but taking the price into account compared to the R888's, I don't think that the difference in price will warrant the lap times

The difference between RS-Rs and R888's in terms of performance on track is much smaller than the difference in terms of price. MyTyres currently have 195/50/15s at £66 delivered.

For value for money I think they are unbeatable.
