So, If I was to put me as the mian driver (as its my car and I will be using it the most) and my mum as a named driver as she will only be using it maybe once a month. Is this prefectly legal? How in hell does it make it cheaper?
By the time I have to renew, I will be:
21 yrs old - 0 NCB (had a crash...doh)
1.2 16v Clio 02
0 Points/Convictions.
Just out of interest, Does any 1 go with MoreThan insurance?
Bit of a dodge area insuring the car under your parents name the whole idea is that the main driver is the policy holder so infact if your going to druive it 90% of the time then if you have a crash and they find out you use it for work/college every day then they can start kicking up a fuss with the insurance.
Id pay for the policy in your own name as the more NCB you have the cheaper insuracne will be next yr more so than your parents having an exytra yrs NCB and you having none still.
Its cheaper though as the main driver (the policy holder) is the one who is most likely to have a crash as there supossed to be the main driver so an older female is less likly to crash than a young lad.
Read it properly, he/she said they wanted to be the main driver with their mother as a named driver, which is fine!
