'00 Mk2 1.9 D
So, just bought a mk2 Clio, 1.9D.
It's done 153k, but I got it for £400 so I'm happy with it!
Though as I expected, there are some things wrong with it.
I already know the CV joint needs replacing, was told it's fairly cheap to do and had money knocked off because of it.
The heater is blowing only cold (did a search and it seems to be a common problem). All the results I found though seem to be from people with climate control or a higher spec/later model. Wanted to know if the usual suspects will apply to mine too?
The rear wiper seems to work whenever it wants, although seems to always work when reversing. I presume this is a stalk problem?
The key fob is missing the button battery inside (so the RCL isn't working) but the CL doesn't seem to do anything when I unlock using the key, only when I open the door or use the interior button. Is this normal, or a problem?
Hope you guys can help me, I always try to do the work myself on my cars, but I've only owned 2 Escorts before now, so all this is a new set of problems!
Thanks,
Jack
