I'm new to this forum so hi to all firstly.
I have an L-Reg 1.4RT 3dr with 60k onthe clock, it's got a few problems i need to run by you guys to see if they're common or if anyone has experienced them before and has a quick fix.
1) Play in the steering (about an 8th of a turn each way before turning), i have changed the p/s rack for a second hand jobby but the problem is still there unfortunately, could it be anything else?
2) starts intermittently, changed the dizzy and rotar arm (which were shagged by the looks of it) but still just starts when it wants to, it cranks over fine and when it does start it sparks and runs perfectly (almost like an injector or fueling problem?
3) could be linked with the above problem but when it starts and i get about 100m down the road it just dies (always about 2200rpm ish, in third or fourth), it really judders and struggles for about 10m but then just picks up and it's fine then for the rest of the drive (only seems to be when it's cold!)

p.s. also, i know it's in the wrong area but i'm in need of a n/s (passenger) central locking solenoid if anyone's got one for sale.
