FIA GT - Silverstone

This wasn't as good as I was expecting, the new Lambo Trophy Championship pulled out at the last minute due to 'money issues', so some fairly lengthy gaps in the day, and the GT4 was frankly, rubbish.

The GTs and GT3 were fantastic though, particularly the GT3s which had an insane grid and great race, making the day worthwhile, and not forgetting - officially - the most beautiful sounding car ever to grace a race track...the Morgan Aero Supersport, words cannot do it justice, even better is the fact is that they now go as quickly as they sound.

...and a 420mm handheld video effort (through a fence) with my D90, hard work. The first 8 seconds of 'noise' is from the Morgan.

There are some real beauties amongst those. seems like a really strong field and nice mix of machinery. That Morgan really sounds great. Love the Jag as well. Great pics as alway.

Incredible shots! What were the results of new cars like the R8 and GTR?

Interesting that the MC12 has to run such narrow wings, must be a lot quicker.

The R8s were rapid, up with the Morgan and Aston in the first race and most finished well up the order in both races. Sooooo quiet though (comparatively), they could probably even run at Castle Combe without upsetting the neighbours.

Hard to say on the GTR, only Quali to go on really as it pulled up early in the race. About 3 seconds slower than the bulk of the GT1 runners in Quali though, but I assume that would make it fairly competitive next season with the new format.
