What do you have in mind Gelder?

I'm planning on getting my hands stuck into the ICE world and doing bits myself - might take a risk "here and there" but I'll always ask for the best advice first :)

We all start somewhere!

Cheap if your dad owns a fibreglass company ;) lol Does all depend on what you want though, shape, thickness, height etc etc

i think your best off sticking with mdf and trimming fabrics matey its easier i personally think it looks neat and more tidy and most serious competitors and ice heads seem to opt for them same materials;)

a fibreglass boot build for 2 subs and 2 amps will costaround £1k ina clio.Thats painted to the body colour.

Personally, id live the fibreglass for amp racks, dash's and door cards and make your sub boxes out of thick ass mdf :)

  A Euro'd one...
I havent heard many fibreglass boot builds that sound any good to be honest. I suggest making the build out of mdf same as Crazy Clio. Then maybe leather it up. Fibreglass builds are normally for show rather than SQ or SPL.

I heard that Saxo you were on about in your thread and it sounds the nuts in real life. Proper deep, the bass travels far.

not a blue saxo with about 12 10" subs n e chance?

dont get a powercap mate, they are not worth the money, powercap only work for about a 10th of a second go for a second bettery in the boot i got a yellow top on a split charging system thats the best way :)

Its not a perfect shape for performance, but thats my own fault and could be easily avoided. I've had this sub in an mdf sealed enclosure and it sounds much better now as it has allowed me to increase the volume.

The main thing is to build up the layers of the fibreglass. Many fibreglass installs may have been rushed and not many layers put down. As I've been working on this myself I've been able to ensure that the walls are extremely thick and strong.
