  Megane RS 275 Trophy
I've just got this off a guy at work but what do I use it for?

Is it for landscapes, using the grey part on the sky?

I just use a UV filter which doubles as a lens protector.

but sticking good filters on ur lens will give u so much more image detail.

no "filter" will give you "so much more detail", a Polariser might help with specular reflection.
I would tend to stay away from filters, with the advance of post editing software, save the raw image and work filters onto a second copy.

Looking at the image on your profile is a classic....."vignetting" from a poor fitting filter which has resulted in an image being ruined.
