I think they made circa 200 sunflower yellows, not sure how many are currently in the UK though.
Andy - will defo have to organise some blue on yellow action lol.
Another bonus point of the car is the MPG, on the way back from collecting her, I got 47 mpg on the motorway, then today driving around town i'm gettin approximatly 40. Gear box is tight as well, which i've been told is another huge plus point.

love it mate but whats happening with all the 1.2 owners selling up?!?! 
keep they wheels, lower it, clear repeaters, colourcode, coilovers ph2 rear lights and it will be rather cool!

^ kinda what i'm going for, although the woman thought there might be a flat spot on one of the wheels so I may just get a new set to be on the safe side, otherwise I'd just get them refurbed. They're actually pitted, due to the fact that any colour bar silver is a continental car and therefore the wheels arent laquered, so either refurb or new ones.
As much as I loved my 1.2, I was bored with the drive of it, and as a project it was pretty much finished, so needed something new to spend my money on

I'm gonna work on getting it mint first, i'm def not gonna do any over the top mods, and i'm not gonna stick any ph2 bits on it (bar the lights as i cant stand the reflector in the standard ones). Need to get two new electric window switch surrounds as the ones in the car are a bit tatty, although not the worst i've seen. Got quoted 88 quid... ouch lol

That seems to be astonishingly good mate, take some time driving her hard to get her opened out a bit, otherwise you could have a 'slow' one! :rasp:
Seriously though, that's a good around town figure, even if you're taking it slow to start with, even better if you're having fun with it.

Not taking it slow but 47mpg thats two contradictaory statments I get less than 47 when I'd driving my car hard.
Looks very nice though.

maybe i need to rag it a bit more then lol. I did reset it before I started out so the 47 is just motorway driving.
anyways i'll enjoy it while it lasts
Not gonna put a ph2 bumper on it, quite like the one thats on it now, or a cup spoiler or turinis before anyone suggests them

Glad to see some pictures mark the colour wont dissapoint you, i love looking at mine, and looks amazing in the sun after being polished. Defo put the ph2 rear lights on, mine only lasted a couple of days before the horrid reflector done my head in lol, ill put some pics up so you can get an idea.

I was waiting for u to pop up dude, defo putting the ph2's on! Some pics would be great. Mods are defo gonna be subtle, I love the look of it as is, so i'm only gonna do minor things.
I had a broom yellow punto back in the day, and the colour of that was stunning after a polish, so hopefully I can get a nice deep shine to it with it being a flat colour.

mij29- thats a shed seriously i literally live about 2 miles away from george rhodes so would have been ideal, but did u see those 17s, the vts badges and the mpower badge on the back? the interior was totally shot there was a hole in the carpet and apparently it had done 30k.... yeah right lol

I havnt took any pics of it with the new lights on, and im working 7-7 till saturday
so you will have to wait lol, the only mods ive done are only sublte but make a difference, lowered & silver visions the most.Are you putting ph2 side strips on or just colour coding the originals?

Well ive took the ph2 strips & badges off the iceberg, but im un sure lol, i think ill get both sets colour coded try them both and see which looks best hehe
A bloke who works with my dad is into polishing his bikes, so done it for me, my dad was the 1st on the site (?) to get it done to his ph2 172.
