Firestone SZ90 tyre opinions

I was going to get some Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3s for the front of my 172 Cup but was told by a tyre fitter that the Firestone SZ90s were better as the GSD3s had a relatively old tread pattern by modern standards and were more prone to tramlining.

Has anyone got any SZ90s that can comment on their performance?
