First Mod..

  Clio 182 Cup
Should have my 182 by the weekend and just wondered if there's any 'First Mod' that 172/182 owners would recommend??

Am thinking maybe something to do with the exhaust or possibly something along the lines off a hillpower induction kit? Anything I should avoid..? etc :) :star:

Always worth seeing what you think of the car first realy but IMo bin the stock wheels and get some beter lightweight or smaller (15's) or any other wheel as the stock wheels whilst looking nice arn't lightweight or good at cooling the brakes.

Why does everyone wanna start changing stuff.. even before they get the car! Ride around stock for a while, learn to drive it, get used to it, see where it needs improvement and get mods to suite the short comings.
RS clios are pretty fantastic stock and since IK's and exhausts dont really make any noticable difference why rush out and change them? Enjoy it for a bit, save some money for when it brakes down LOL

get used to your motor 1st . (advanced driving lessons) not being cheeky either .

forgetting that ...... better breathing and exhaust system (IK and performace system)

If your anything like most of us you'll eat, sleep and live in it for about 2-4 weeks after you get it because you wont be able to stop driving it ;)

Uprated pannel filters are better for performance than IK's
Inlet manifold matching will give a good power increase
Decat will also give good gains
Personally I think exhausts are just exhausts more for styling and sound than any big gain in performance
Good brakes are an essential mod!
Supsension is also good but depends on budget.

But enjoy it for a bit first... get to know the car ;)

Thats the sort of reply I was looking for :)

Uprated panel filters can be bought from where?
And are De-Cat's easy to shift on and off obviously with not been Mot'able?

Any sites or links you could recommend?

Well i got my Cup last week and absolutely love it..! :)

I can get a K+N Panel Filter from my local mod shop for around £35?
Has anyone got the K+N?

On my last clio I had the powertec induction kit, heard mixed opinions on the K+N's.

Taking some pics tonight so will post them up soon :)
