brother has the same dent in his clio, then 2 days later some on ran in to the back of him, but the insurers would only repair the rear end collision, he trie dto day the side damage was done at the same time but they said it was physcally impossible lol.

but from what ive seen it looks like some on had caved in in srinign into a space, he was told probably in reverse by a saloon or estate ( more likely a f*cking peaople carrier) he got a couple of quotes all about the 1300-1400 mark. couldn't claim insurance or he will need to pay 5k next year.

The other thing i'm worried about with my insurance is will they be able to get it looked at, booked in, and repaired all in 7 weeks.... i'm going to Le Mans in June and need my car for that!

That'll be no problem, whenever I've had any dealings with insurance companies, to be honest the seem pretty prompt and get the work carried out/organised pretty quickly.
I guess the next step is to give them a ring and see what the crack is, I can imagine they'll arrange to get it booked in though fairly promptly

OMG i would be so pissed off. have you managed to see if there is paint from the other car left on yours so you know what colour it is. also have you checked the area for cctv even if there isnt any on your car it would be worth checking the surrounding streets. hopefully you will find a car that has no damage at one point then a shite load of it 3 hours later when it drove off. at least then you can report the reg and claim it off their insurance

There are several flakes of silver paint on mine which i have collected and saved! I drove through the area again today to see if there were any cars with scratched bumpers but no such luck!

Perhaps not quite as bad but I completely understand how it feels. This happened to me in my gym car park, luckily my dad is good freinds with a panel beater who sorted it for £300 but said it would've been £1100 if it had needed a new rear quarter panel and hadn't been mates rates.
