First weigh-in for the ph1

Got her on the scales tonight get myself a starting point anyone know how light you can get the old girls? Mine is weighing 1019kg but the rear seat were removed when I purchased it so its a wee bit lighter already, does anybody know what one would eat from factory? Cheers Tim

Yeah 1059 is the official book weight.
Mine was 1099 with no spare wheel (still had the emergency jack/ tools though), 90% full fuel tank and me (60kgs)

My cup weighs 960kg on proper corner weighting scales. Check my thread to see what I've removed/spec.

I should be able to check the weight again later if I have time and ill post it up I've nearly removed all the interior except the roof lining and front door cards as its handy storage so the cup is some what lighter I see!

I got my ph1 down to 930 before the cage went in. That was with a spare wheel and jack as well.

Sparco Circuits. It's being corner weighted in the next week or so actually so I'll let you know what happens. I've removed more weight but the cage probably weighs a fair amount!

Well just fitted some new braided lines and cleared out the interior including the sound deadening

1059 kg is wrong. This is a Ph1. It's 1035 kg (just 14 kg more than the Ph2 Cup!).

Ive removed EVERYTHING from inside my ph1, inc heater matrix. Still got a ver light dash, light weight buckets and a half cage.. just hope its under 950kgs..

Those seat rails can come out, there will be more sound deadening in the engine bay, and possibly in the roof if you haven't already got it.
cut off/remove all of the rear seat hooks and buckles, there will be foam impact material in the front and rear bumper..... You can keep going and going

I'm down to 890kg with an empty tank now - but with no cage and fairly heavy Sabelt/RS buckets. Polycarb windows are next and then that's about it I think. Carbon/Fibreglass doors and tailgate would save a further few kg's but would need a cage then.

Still got heavy OZ F1's on, steel doors, tailgate and standard rear glass. This will all be replace in the future to aim for 820kgs.

Mine is 970kgs with the cage in and half a tank.

Start with pretty much a bare shell and go through it with a fine tooth comb. I have a T45 cage to help with keeping the weight down too

This still amazes me! Once ive done the ph1 can you sort it so I can stick it on there?
