Fitting light up washer jets

Hi just bought some light up washer jets and want to wire them up the side lights. Does anyone have any idea which wire I need to scotch lock to? Thanks

No they will be blue neon. The main reason I want them on is because they are chrome and not the nasty black standard ones.

Myskyline looks well mint with the neons on now and no one says s*** about that as no one can catch the b*****d. Its running at 630bhp! Shame the 182 doesnt perform the way that the Renault garage said it would. Gonna either get me a V6 Clio or forget Renault and stay with what I should have bought (Mitsi Evo).

Thanks. Yeah it just said to connect to the positive feed for the sidelights. Just wondered which wire it was thats all. I can do the rest

Well... Im very sorry if I have 'offended' anyone but i'm not very good with car electrics and specialise in car mechanics. I was only asking for some 'basic' advice that seems to have rubbed people up the wrong way. I apoligise perfusely.....

my_cougar49: They should just require a live and an earth, but obviously you will want a switch, you could tap into the live from the sidelight of the car and find an earth from under the hood somewhere.

If I had a 182 I wouldn't be fitting chrome washer jets, but that's just me, its your car, do what you want to it!

All I need to know guys is do you know which wire the live to the sidelights is as ive done the switch in the dash and the earth. I just need to know which wire it is. In my defense this is the only mod that im doing to the 182 bar this and just wanted something to match them on the front end.

the neutral colour wire for the sidelights is black, the other wire is live(not sure of the colour,you'd have to look behind the socket of the sides at the front of the motor)

But .. useful info - you've said they're blue. They are illegal.. I would have suggested white as police turn their nose up at them... thats all there is to it... but most peeps think your mad to put them on a 182 ..

you mentioned lef washer jets, most people really dislike them and other 'stick' on mods. As i said earlier, buy a haynes manual, invaluable bit of kit, and in future ou wont get flamed for asking about how to fit this kinda stuff

its fitted now anyway. Its the only stick on stuff i wanted to fit due to buying a ktec stainless grill for the front end. Just wanted it to all look the same.

well if you have a switch already in your dash as you stated and the earth connected as stated, then just take a wire from your battery, fit a inline fuse, to your switch in dash, then to your lights......

thats some serious bhp from your skyline, in fact its rare you see many over 500, what psi she running, big single turbo conv?, fuel rails etc, id like details

As I said my uncle did all the work to the skyline I wil take some pics later to show what she looks like under the bonnet etc.

Not doing anything else to the 182. wanted to keep it mainly original. I just like chrome so I've ordered the K tec front grill and bolted the washer jets on. Apart from that its totally standard.

If I were you I'd put a little piece of paper in one of it's windows saying "ClioSport" so people really know it's yours.

just create a loop between the positive from the side light should be easy to find just make sure u get the + and - the right way as a led will only work one way, n if they are blue yer best addin a switch , just incase the law gets on yer back.

n e ways different ppl different tastes if everyone liked the same stuff the world would be a very boring place

i once saw some crome washer jets in max power they where round like 5p size then 2 nozles off them think they fitted em on a 205gti , but they looked like no others ive seen , theyed look good on a older clio, for me personally , i chose a black car just cos all rubber n everything else is black. just a shame the front windscreen looks blue

gues i just like it all blended in , but in end its good to have somet that stands out , owt to make our cars stand out a little from the rest

Its nearly two years old now. As I said im still paying it off and it would look mint as its only got 12672 km on the clock which im told is roughly about 8000 miles but dont quote me on that as im not sure how many km to the mile.

Its permantly garaged and I am only insured to drive it for 2000 miles a year thus the need for the 182 because of the insurance. I will take a couple of inside pics but need to go out now and dont have time to mess with the camera.. I will email the same chap as earlier when I get back to put em up for you. Laterz

Im not sure never followed skylines until my uncle had one. Hes going through a messy divorce and the wife wanted everything from the cars and dog to his houses so he sold it to me but I have had to take out serious finance to have this. Be better when I hit 25!

Ive never been in any other skylines or been to any shows as ive only owned it a few months myself. Still getting used to the power. I only take it out when I need to show off really as 2000 miles a year dont get you very far!

It has a dual nos kit on it. without the nos i dont know what the bhp is but with it it come to 630 according to this graph that was given me with the car.

I know all the bulkheads etc have been strengthened for the extra power and i believe its a supercharger not a turbo fitted but yes it is a total one off customisation.

Im 24, 25 in two weeks. Its a infinity g35 coupe actually but im told that its basically a skyline. Sort oif like a fiest mk4 is a mazda 121 or a golf is a skoda fabia.

the nos is apparantly 125bhp of the power when turned on as Ive just called my uncle. Thats why its so high in the power.
