Fitting Rear Parking Sensors (Van)

  172 Silver Cup
Just bought a Mercedes Sprinter Van, its very long!! As visibility is limited I was wondering how hard it is to fit them? Anyone have any ideas?

you can get them JML 1's from Asds for about £30, mum had them on her Daewoo Lanos like 3years ago, worked a treat and easy enough to fit,

2 sensors connect up sticked to the bumper, then connects into a blue box, which u can switch on or off, then beeps :) sorted.

Properly:

Power cable from the battery or splice into something somewhere. Relay to turn the unit on, use power from the reverse light.

Cut the wholes in the bumpers and fit the sensors, wire them up and turn it on.

A lot of new cars have marks or crosses on the back of the bumper where to drill so the job is easy peasy.

Edit: its a sprinter van, i was working on a 58plate one a few weeks ago and had to fit sensors and im pretty sure the guy i was working with said there is marks on the back on where to drill

52 plate so may be a bit old, will have a look. Do I need a power source from the battery and a source from the reverse light? I think I can get one from the reverse light but I cant be bothered with all the wiring to get one from the battery. I seen a kit and the wiring diagram says ground, I guess that means earth yeh?
