Flash Gels

Hi all,

I've done a search on the site and Google and can't seem to find a current and good source for flash gels.

Can anyone help me out a little please?

I want to know which are best value for money and a few other options.

Register here and they used to send you a free book of flash size gels. I have a pack of nearly 150 different colours from a couple of years back.

They changed it to require payment after a while as so many people were doing it, but it may have calmed down enough for a freebee again.

edit: looks like they are £7 now, but they may not charge it... could just be to put people off.

Exactly what Andy says or alternatively go to the flash centres website.

Or buy a tin of Roses.

Or failing that I used to go to a local arts and crafts shop and buy coloured acetate sheets, they normally cost 30p per A4 sheet.

What flash you got? What are you actually after them for? Colour correction? As tbh all you should really need are CTO/Flourescent for 95% of stuff?

Are fairly handy/convenient. Not very flexible though as the colour range is limited.

They're for doing some light paining. I was hoping to get quite a diverse set.
