Ok, can anyone tell me what's going on here? I've included a video of appalling quality but hopefully it will give you some idea about what's going on. You'll probably need to turn your sound up a bit to hear the strange buzzing noise but judging from the playback it seems my mobile is rubbish at sound too.

Vehicle is a Clio Mk2 dCi65 (van to be precise).
Long story short (well sorta), I lose power on the motorway a couple of weeks ago, engine lumpy but am still able to tickle it along at around 60mph. Reach a set of lights at the end of an exit and it stalls then refuses to start. RAC comes and determines the fourth cylinder isn't firing hence the lumpiness; disconnecting injector one balances the engine again. Suspects injector failure and gets us started on three with some spray. My dad and I have an important appointment only 5 minutes away from this junction so the RAC guy agrees to follow us and make sure we get there ok. A few near-stalls later and we get there.
My dad reckons he can limp it home after the meeting armed with a can of starter spray and we make a valiant attempt, only to stop dead in the middle of a 3 lane roundabout requiring police assistance to move us on! Starter motor has taken a kicking and the car refuses to start so we admit defeat and get towed to our local garage.
It sits in storage for a couple of weeks until we get hold of some injectors but the starter motor (which is apparently fine according to the mechanic) won't even twitch when the key is turned. Can hear a click or two like relays coming in but absolutely nothing from the engine. Now the dashboard lights up like a Christmas tree and we get this regular buzzing sound accompanied by vibrating/twitching dials which are probably not clear on the video. Mechanic wants to send it to a main dealer which we're dreading. His hand-held diagnostic thingy can't reset anything.
Any ideas?
