Flocked dash, Yay or Nay?

As tittle guys, Yay or nay to the flocked dash?? What are your opinions? Anyone ever had it done??

I got one I wanna get rid of in the garage. It's a little tatty but still ok. I'm looking to get another as I want it mint. £50 if anyones interested.

I love my flocked dash, had it about a year and I think it looks so much better than standard. As long as you have a good hoover with a brush attachment it isn't too difficult to keep clean either.

I bought it from an ebay seller who said it was mint but this was how I received it. Needless to say I never fitted it as I'm a little ocd about things.

Flocked the dash in my old VTS and Rallye. At the time it was my favorite modification on both the cars, it gave the interior a nicer feel.

Wouldn't do it again though, not since seeing seeing a Suede topped dash fitted to a PH1 sport. This is taken from the guys thread over on frenchuk.co.uk

Flock is nice but does degrade over time, as above a suede dash would be better imho, either way they both eliminate the glare you get off the plastic dash when the sun is out.

I love them, always have done. But I guess they're hard to keep looking nice because of dust etc?

I have mine done and A pillars and mirror covers and centre console around handbrake and gearstick and it makes the car look so much better, but mine is only a track car so not sure what it will wear like

They look like seriously nice bits of kits lads! I've always liked the flocked dash, but my peugeot I have wasn't worth wasting money/time on modding, So tempted to get the 172 done over time. Seeing the pictures is tempting though!
