Floppy Gearstick

Basically managed to stall it, when I did it made a loud clunking noise and ever since when in neutral there is no resistance when moving the gearstick to the left. Moving it right it feels fine.

Any idea what the problem might be. I'm thinking a linkage has come loose.

There's a spring that tensions the lever to the ''middle'' or neutral position, use the search bar. There was a thread about this not long back.
