Fluid change...

I had my service book out the other day and noticed that my spark plugs haven't been changed (42k) so I have bought the specific NGK PFR6E-10 but I would just like to ask is it just a case of take the old ones out and fit the new? Or is there anything else I should do?

I have also decided to do a brake fluid change, I would just like to ask whether there is a specific order in what caliper should be done first?

I should of started this post with "hi I know nothing mechanically about a car!"

no offence then by why noit just take it to a garage for peace of mind sure wouldnt cost all that.

I'd take it to a garage for brake fluid change.

Ive already bought the plugs off eBay now, so with them is it just a case of swapping them. I have done plugs on my bikes so guessing so but would just like confirmation.

Yup pretty much, You need to take the top inlet plenum off to get access though. Make sure you torque em up properly and don't trap your HT leads under the plenum when you put it back on.

Changing brake fluid isn't thaat hard. Same as bleeding essentially. And if everyone has to start somewhere!

Changing the plugs is probably more complex with having to remove the plenum. But again if your careful you shouldn't have a problem! More of a case of simply being more bolts to undo!

Thanks again for the replies. My plugs have arrived today so I'll be doing them when I get a day off. My friend owns a garage so I'll be doing it there now under his supervision. Does the plug gap come preset or do I need to use feelers?

They should come preset but I'd give em a check with the feelers for piece of mind
