once i joined this site i heard of the bonnet catch can fail at high speeds or somthing like that.so i was coming home on the motorway today and my bonnet shot open .. but not fully open but i was doing 65-70mph and the bonnet was bounceing up and down luckly i managed to pull over and bodge it back, but my heart was in my mouth!
i was going to repleace the part for a brand new one but it seemed to be fine untill today, reno wouldnt change it for me. so if i am to replace this part for a new one will i be able to drive at high speed with out worrying??

i know, seen a few pics of that on here and wouldnt like it happening to me, i hated driveing on motorways anyway, now i doubt ill drive on them again unless i get it full fixed or have a diffrent car

they said its because its not the original bonnet
it isnt rusty or anything :s

this happens ,renault sent out a recall for certain cars. if it isnt broken ,just grease up the catches .
