Fog Light Wiring!

Is it ok too wire the fog lights independantly of the main lights? I mean, is it ok if I fuse the lights seperatly and just have them on a switch... which will work even if the main lights are off?

Just wondered for MOT time..

The simplest way to do it is to wire them so they only come on when main beam is on and theres no need for a switch then.

but yes there is no problem having an independent switch same way as you would fit aftermarket fog lights.

Id wire them to a seperate switch cos i got a £30 fine from cops for having them on when it was not foggy

Are we talking FRONT or REAR FOGS?

The rear(s) are already switched.

If its front fogs, then they should only work on dipped beam!

yes I know.. but I cant be bothered - so will it fail the MOT for being able to turn them on without the dipped beam on?

Car doesnt have fogs at the moment!
