I was just wondering I have a 1997 1.2 D.I.E.T Engine 8v RN. Just wondering firstly who has got the same engine or car 1996-97 clios and

What is your top speed you have had out of it???

I have the same engine in my 1997 Clio.

Drifting from the topic, they made everything electronic, so getting a rev counter on it was mayhem - I got dials from a 1.4 S (1998) but different ignition system meant I had to have the rev counter converted so that it would work. Nice.

Anyway, back to the main point of this thread

My old clio was the 1.2 energy type and I managed 105mph. With full exhaust and induction kit. Think the diet engine is slightly quicker.
