Ford & Jap Show : Thoresby Hall 10/7/11

Made a small trip to Thoresby Hall today. My Dad and his mate are Ford nut's and a few mate's of mine are Jap nut's so went to have a gander.

I managed to get moaned at by a Cortina owner for taking a Renault

I've just finished a 24v conversion one with the RS kit nowhere near as mint as your dads though.

Those 1600's are immense. Probably the cleanest i've seen.

Ah nice. They're a rare thing to see in good condition nowaday's.... Usually have gaffer tape on the bumper's lol!

Haha! As said it's a Rep. It has Puma Racing front arches with Puma Cup rear arches which are 2" wider each side. The front bumper has been smoothed into the wing's aswell.
I think the chap was saying that about the only thing he need's now is cam's and it'll basically be a Puma Racing, just not an original one.

That FRP rep looks awful. It might just be the pic, but the rear quarter looks like it's full of filler and painted with Tippex. Also why smooth the front bumper into the wing?

Must be the picture as the paint was pretty good iirc. Tbf, apart from a few small things I think it was pretty nice. And at least he didn't paint it blue and try to claim it being a genuine one
