To be fair if he can afford that car, the owner has likely got a fair chunk of cash. The engine in that thing alone is coming up for £15k. Add the custom work gone into the body, exhaust and general restoration. And likely a fair chunk on the suspension and transmission.
You are probably looking at a £100k+ car there. Don't think the owner will really care about the single digit figures for mpg. And to be honest, when you have 9.3 litres of V8 muscle...who would?

Lotto car, love the yank tanks, we have 2 lads in work with them, one has a 57plate 300c SRT8 hemi and the other guy is a legend in our plant for his driving antics leaving or entering our plant, power slides it bloody everywhere, he has a Mustang Cobra SVT 450bhp Manual version with stainless borla headers and a decatted full system , his normal cars are Pajero EVO 300bhp and a mapped 290 bhp volvo c70 coupe.
