Frankfurt Motorshow with Benton

Woke up at a stupid time of 4.30am. Showered, got ready and drove to Stanstead. 6am and I'm on a bus from the carpark to the terminal.

7.20 am and flight is delayed - Tom and I wonder why our plane has a fire engine and Ambulance next to it. hmm.

8.15 plane takes off for the hour trip to Frankfurt Hahn.

10.15am Hertz desk. We've got you a Hyundai i10.

10.25am We drive out of the airport in a 1.4 Golf.

11ish. Arrive in Frankfurt and find the show. Its crazy busy but we wander round and see as much as we can. Our jaws hit the floor at the girls on the Lancia stand :approve:

5.00pm Getting a bit tired so headed back to the car.

5.20 Realise we've got 6 hrs till plane leaves.

5.30 En route to Nurburg - what the hell

7.30 ish Walked round all the new stuff as Tom hadn't been for a while.

9.30ish Way back to Frankfurt Hahn

10pm - Check in.

11.20 Plane leaves

12.15 Drop Tom off

1.45 Home.

A cracking day! Still tired now though tbh.

Rob, the Mini 2 seater thing worked better as a concept I thought. The coupe thing was a bit awkward.

Was a shame about not doing a lap, but the stuff on track was pretty impressive. To see a GT40 chasing after some uber Porsches was excellent. Only at the Ring!
