Parts must be a frigging nightmare to source?

How did you get them over to Hong Kong mate!?

We have dealer in HK, but they are expensive.
For normal stuffs like air filter and oil filter, not a problem.
But for the other parts, I will use either Ebay or Ktec. Since I dun have to pay VAT, it is almost the same if I ordered few items together, which I am going to do soon. Combine shipping with my friend's parts.

Or ask my friend from UK to get it for me.

We do have some Clios in the junkyard, but mainly just for body part.

If you dont mine me asking, how much would it have been to buy a Clio 172/182 in HK new?

we only have Clio 172 MK1 and MK2, it was about HK$159,000. Approx. £12,720 (with the approx. exchange rate at that moment). Not bad actually. A Megane 225 cost about HK$285,000. But only a few in HK os no one buy. I really want one but no money no talk.

From my memory, the exchange rate of GBP to HKD was low, then raise up to 15.9 few months ago. Now back to 12.00. I never thought it can back to 12.00!!! So a good time to buy parts from UK.

Now, used Clio still available in the market but not many people are interest cos they all afraid of maintenance and parts.

Yes, both are good in exterior and interior. Except those sticky dash and door handle grip plastic are bad!!!

But French, some minor problem will show up once a while. Hate that!
We both want to keep the car in top condition.

My friend is a car freak, he loves his 306gti-6. I think he even clean the bottom of his car.

Well impressive matey!

Wuuld you not have prefered a Supra/Skyline? lol

I would love to try, not own. Plus reason are:
1st, it cost too much to run. Both fuel and insurance.
2nd, they used to be robber's target
3rd, I dun really like Japanese car, except rotary rocket & S2000. Oh, I like do like Nissan Silvia S15.
4th, Supra are rare now. Skyline such as R32, 33, 34 are old now. More people go for Golf GTI & R32, Copper S, BMW 3.

I think 3 yrs ago, you can still see many Japanese heavy tuned car on the street. But not many now. They are getting old now.

V nice. You should meet up with the V6 boys in HK!

I did. One of my friend had a V6 MK1 before. Drove it for 1 day and it is fast, but not very impressive. It got too much attention on the street. It looks quick, but not really quick.

I also have a friend who has a Clio 172 MK1.

We do have a Clio specialist garage in HK.

Are there alot of Honda Civic Ek 9's in HK?

I really fancy one next year, but same again there very expensive to insure due to being imports

Be honest, not many left now. Do see it sometimes.
But some normal EK put the Type-R at rear. And still have some EK4.
Main reason is they are mostly very high tuned and life are short.

These are the EK9 available in the most popular used car site in HK:
http://www.28car.com/sell_ico.php?&h_srh=EK9&h_srh_ty=1

If you want one from Japan, see this site. It can link up to the Japanese site. They help u to bid on Yahoo auction and send to u with service charge:

I do see more new Subaru Impreza WRX STI on the street, cos it has 8-yrs/180,000km warranty I think. And do see the new GTR on the street once a while. HK is too small.
