French Reg Style Plates

Looking at having something different as a reg plate style. Being the clio is french i thought why not... however would this be illegal ?

The reg will of course be my UK one but is the style illegal?

Has anyone else done this? or can think of any other style of plates?

No they won't be legal, anything other than standard isnt.

Might still get them then keep the originalls in the boot, just play ignorance if i get pulled...

You can still read them so cant be much of a hassle

one of the main reasons would be that the plates are not reflective, so they wouldnt show up a good picture on the govt/police cash machine, sorry, safety camera

If the car was in fance on french plates then yes it would be fine. Guessing were in the uk and our plates are different i would say not.

It's illegal, however unless you find a jobsworth of a cop as long as the font is bold and legible(none of the wanky 1990s chav itallic style fonts etc) and the plate is reflective then i doubt you'll have any issues.
