  iceberg phase 2 172

I had my front bumper, bonnet, wings, door strips, mirrors and rear bumper sprayed and waited about 10 days before I did anything with it.

If it's not been baked I wait a minimum of 6 weeks for the lacquer to fully go off.
you may be able to a little sooner, but better safe than sorry.

You should be fine to go ahead and wax it .. It shouldn't matter drastically if its not been baked as long as its had a good drying time as the wax isn't abrasive and you won't be cutting into the clear coat

Flol at 6 weeks! Jeeez, if anything you're doing more harm not protecting the lacquer!

Ideally i'd leave it a few days but it's not going to do anything to the paint if you apply a layer of wax.

We've been doing it for a very long time b

This is why your the expert and i'm not
only over cautious as last time I went near a freshly painted (roughly 14 days) car, I ended up with a Ford radiant red wax cloth!

You'll probably find that's because radiant red is a 2pac paint not a clear over base so In other words when u rub it you're rubbing the paint not the lacquer as there isn't any.... Alot of solid colours ( with no metallic ) are a single stage paint and you have to be careful as s**t especially when polishing with a machine etc etc ... These are also more commonly the colours that fade in the sun due to the pigment and the u.v .... Paint is great to learn about major tech that people don't realise :)

Yeah Radiant Red is solid colour chap, hence the reason they used to go pink.
