Fresh Paint

So im hoping to have my car back from a full respray on wednesday and im not sure how long to leave it before i give it a polish, i usealy first use megisers tech wax then a coat of egp.

I'd go over it with a clay bar, then u've got a gd base to start onthen u can just carry on with the polish, egp and wax.

I'll show u how to do the clay, u show me the EGP

Be fine to polish straight away - will be likely to have been flatted and polished in the bodyshop anyway. Needs to be a pure polish not something like AG Super Resin which contains a sealant.

You need to ask the painter how long before you can wax or seal it - i.e the EGP, may be fine straight away, may need 30 days plus to cure depending on the paint and how it was baked. Personally I always wait 30 days but thats just me.

Thanks Rich any suggestions to which pure polish i should buy? anything i could pick up in my local halfords?

I always use Meguairs #7 but that is mail order only, you maybe able to pick some bodyshop safe 3M hand glaze up if you have an bodyshop suppliers local.
