From the South, work up North

  172 Cup
Evening all,

My names Will, I'm 25 and from Bath, however I work in North Wales and spend a lot of my time in Liverpool. I don't currently have a Clio but someone recently smashed straight into the side of my beloved gti6 and therefore I'm on the look out for another car. I'm not one for buying the same car twice so after a fair bit of research I've decided on a 182 with the cup packs, I haven't purchased one yet but I will do soon. Although I've been a Peugeot owner for the last couple of years and a member of the Gti6 and Rallye owners club (username frickinraz) my respect of Renault sport as a whole has grown and grown and it was only a matter of time before I bought into it, so many great cars, the Clio 200, the V6 Clio, the R26-R all brilliant but the 182 is where I plan to start my Renaultsport story!

Cheers
Will

Welcome mate!
One word of advice, if you're looking to ever buy coilovers for the 182, don't get one with the cup suspension. Ichihara to find coilovers for because they have a different bolt spacing which very few companies cater for.

Hmm good advise that, I would be tempted too in future but not for a while, so if I took that option I would have to put up with non cup suspension for quite a while, is the difference between cup and non cup hugely noticeable?
