Front Component Speakers

How do you wire up the new ones?

Ive took out the old ones and replaced with my new ones but i didnt install the new crossovers.

Are these really needed?

How do the original tweeters work?

Is there an existing crossover somewhere for those?

What comps have you installed?, yes you need the crossovers! Theres no existing crossover in the stock system, just a filter on the tweet.

You won't be doing the new tweeters any good feeding them full range

I have put in some JBL gto506ce speakers, they seem fine for what i want

So where does the main speaker wire go? to the door speaker?

Am i best off wiring the crossover direct from the radio and then from there into the tweeter and door speaker?

If so how do i use the existing wiring?

Crossover needs to be wired full range from the headunit, the door speaker wire is where the fun begins really. Do a search its been covered before and i've explained the options several times, basically you either get new cable into the doors or knock an adapter up.

The new wires for the tweeters can be ran across the dash to the tweeter locations.

I did read your guide to using the existing door wires by plugging in some new wires with spades but where exactly is this done?

Where are the door wires located that you plug into?

Where is the original harness for the door speakers?

So i cut the front left and front right from the back of the radio and connect to the crossovers, from there i run a new wire to the tweeters and then run a new wire from there to the original harness for the door speakers?

You need that iso plug to connect the door speakers using the original iso plug that went into the back of the headunit. So make a nice seemless install without hacking the original wiring you need both a female and male iso plug.

Its hard to explain but plug the male iso plug into the headunit loom instead of the cars iso plug then connect the open ends to the input of the crossovers, then connect the woofer output of the crossover to the open ends of the female iso connector making sure you get the front left and right retrospectively. If you want to rear speakers to work as well then you'll need to connect the rear speaker wires of the two iso connectors so to link across.
