Front light washer jets

  Suzuki Ignis Sport
You know these bits in front of the front light

untitled-2.jpg

Does anyone know where i can buy these?.. i know my car doesn't come with a pair of these, but i think they look good in front of the front lights, does anyone know whether it would stick perfectly in front of the front lights to make it look like it?...

Thanks

For a pair of them?... is the back of it flat, so it'll stick firmly and equally on the front bumper bit?

it will fit into your bumper as long as you drill the holes in the same place as the 172/182.

i have a set if you want then pm me.

I have to drill a hole?... hmmm... coz all i want is just the image of it, i dont want to drill a hole, can i not just cut the back bit flat, and stick it onto the bumper with some double sided tape?..

yes . glue might be better though .

Glue is a better adhesive, but what if i want to take it off?... It'll come off easier if it was stuck down with double sided right?

  2001 Clio 1.2 Dynamique
sounds good but mite loose it with tape, after a couple of people brushing past in car parks. Has anyone retrofitted this? Has Has done it ? Can u just add this onto the existing washer pump or what, how can this be retrofitted?? Where is the button aswell?

front light washer jets are only for the 1*2 i think.

Dyanmiques dont have them ,hence why there isn't a button, i just like the look of it, looks mean for some reason, so i think i might just stick them on. Dont think they'll come off if someone brushes past it and knocks it. Will have to put a bit more of it. :)

Ye but i think you can retrofit the whole system if you want. Just wondering if Has has done this to his dynamique 172 rep. Anyone know the parts needed. Jets, tubing, additional pump?, switch? I have no idea? where is the switch located on the 182 for this? Though i think quite a good idea just to put the fake jets on. I havent seen them working on the 182 but on my mums e class they just make a mess so probs not worth the full install, go with the dummies.

i cant stand them, mine have needed 2 new return valves inside in 7 months! dont bother with them mate, they look s**t and they are just a gimmick imo

They are compulsary with Xenon headlights, hence why the 1*2's have them as Xenons are a standard factory fit. I had them on my Dynamique which had factory fit Xenons and also on my 197.

There isnt a seperate "button" to operate them, they work with the normal windscreen washer, when you pull back on the stalk. I think lights are washed when the wipers are on and you wash the windscreen and every 2 or 3 times when the wipers arent on and the screen is washed, although I may be worng on this.

TBH, cant see the point in adding them if you havent got Xenons, they are something that look particularly (sp) stylish sticking out the front bumper like 2 little horns.

From memory, the headlight washers only work on the 1*2's when the headlights are on. There is a 5 second delay also, all controlled by the UCH.

cost me including the jets, about £30-£40 from memory. Couple of hours to fit, job done :)

The point is I had xenons on mine, and the washer jets made them look 'legal'. Can you imagine an MOT tester actually checking for auto-levelling because i can't?

ask DONNY , he bought some recently for his cup

Mine are not connected to water though, as the amount of water leaking out on these is crazy. One of my blanking plates on the Cup fell off it was £50+ for 2 blue blanking plates. It was about £23 ish for the pair and that included the bolt on the back. the whole item comes about 1½" into the bumper and there is a big circle with a little 'notch' which is how you get the washer jet aligned.

I managed to get one screwed in without removing the bumper (Mandy has V.small hands and scratched them up something chronic!) The other one was applied with heat and waterproof glue. If you use double sided, you're asking for trouble (IMHO) as with the water (especially recently!) and the way the rain has been...can easily penetrate and then they could fall off!

I only got mine to cover the holes...they don't do anything (nor do I want them to after all the issues the 172/182/V6 owners on here have experienced with water leakage!)

If you connected them up, they won't be like the 1*2s anyway, as they would work EVERYTIME you used the windscreen washers as they wouldn't have the same control. If you could find a silver bumper from a Dynamique (that had xenons) that has been rear ended...you might be better off as I'm not sure of the logistics on a standard bumper.

Don't know if you can see them clearly...but click on my name and view my public profile to see the way the old holes were. :)

they fit fine on a standard bumper, you've just got to make sure you get them aligned correctly.
