Front springs on willy

How easy is it to change them on a scale of one to ten? What tools do i need. Ive got the springs, and its p*ssing me off nobody will do em.

spring compressors, think its a 17mm socket for the strut bolts and top of the struts

be v.careful when takin the springs out as these can shoot a hole in the garage door!!!!

scale of 1-10 i would say 7 if u got the right tools

Its pretty simple if you are semi-confident and have the tools to hand.

HSS or similar can probably hire you the spring compressor thing.

I wouldnt do it myself though, the spring compressing takes a lot of effort unless you have a way of doing it mechanically (with the gun thing they use for wheel bolts).

Spring compressors and a set of spanners... you can even get a set of compressors from halfords for under £20!

Easy job.. you may need a ball joint seperator aswell tho

Total of 4 bolts.

Might make it worthwhile to use a dog leg spanner on the strut top nut and an allen key socket in the shocker piston shaft as it might just end up spinning and spinning. Unless you got compressed air to work with.
