Really interesting 2nd photo excellent stuff. Have you got it in RAW? If you could rescue the foremost web from blowout in the sky, it'd be even better. What lens etc?

when you take frosty shots a good trick I use is to take a flask of boiling water out with you.

Then on location open it under your subject, as the steam comes out it can add a bit of atmosphere to your frosty shots.

Taken with a Fuji S6500FD, standard lens that comes with it, first pic is taken on Super Macro P Mode and second is just taken in P mode. Both taken as JPG files, havent taken any Raw pictures yet, i always forget to change the setting.

Water idea is good, might try that next time
