Fuel Pump?

When i turn the ignition on and whilst the car is running there is a constant drowning noise that sounds like a fuel pump priming but its constant.

Any ideas?

Thats cos it is the fuel pump!

What constantly on when ONLY the ignition is on?

You should be able to hear the fuel pump when the ignition is on. The pump is in the fuel tank underneath the rear passenger seats.
