Fuji XD picture card

Hi I have a H 512 MB memory card. When i take loads of photos and upload a few to my pc and put it back in the camera it says the card is not formated and i lose all the photos. What is wrong or what am i doing wrong?

are you using the safely remove hardware button everytime you remove it from your pc?

Thanks for that. My pc has card readers built in. How would i do that?

There is no way in the world that the safely remove hardware thing would affect a memory card. hard drives maybe, but not cards - and certainly not unless you were copying ONTO the card, not reading off.

Well first time i cut them off and it did it. Then i copied them all off it was ok. Then i copied 1 or 2 pictures and then it did it. Ok i know how to remove safely now. I worked it out.
