Fusion headunit?

Was wondering if anyone has bought the new fusion ipod headunit and wether it was any good? It looks pretty cool, and the idea is good, not lots of cd,s.

I,ve heard mixed reviews if you can go without using cds and prefer ipod i,d go for the iDA-X100 alpine perfect for ipod with screen for album art.....its £200 fitted at Skidz in Falkirk.

With that head unit does the ipod dock or is it an external usb cable? liked the idea of the ipod being hidden.

USB cable to glovebox rear usb so don,t see it - hide ipod in glovebox.......no need to touch ipod and it charges it when you want to use it out the car

I have the fusion in head unit ipod one, very pleased with it, better sound than my old (5yr) Pioneer DEH7400 I had. Great cause it charges it, stores it somewhere without it sliding around. And no-one need know there is an Ipod in there.

Thats good to hear, is it easy to use and navigate etc. Im guessing that the volume controls on the 182 are un usabke once a new head unit is fitted?
