G-Max Springs

  White Sti Hatch
I know theres a fair few folk on here who seem to hate these springs for some reason or another but ne way....:rasp:

Looking to lower my car in the coming weeks looking at just a 40mm Drop on springs only no Uprated shocks etc

What i want to know is this the right set for my car "Renault Clio 1.1/1.2/1.4 6.90-5.98" I own a 1.2 8v (hairdryer) Mk2 Ph1...Other thing is theres no 40mm straight lowering kit where im looking on 35mm or 55mm and im sure as hell neither kit will give you exactly that drop so id take a guess 55mm would only take me round 45-50mm down am i right or wrong there ?

Cheers for anyhelp dished out :)

You can do it, but will be a very bumpy ride. I had it on stock shocks for a while, but in the end went for the dampers also. Handled mint with both on.

So i take it the 35mm Springs will take me down 40mm would like to go 60mm but would rather upgrade shocks etc with that big a drop and well the entrance to my sstreet and drive are a bit steep and think would catch bumper on the way in and out :/

From what you posted those springs are to suit mk1's. It says 06/1990 to 05/1998. Mk2 Ph1's are newer than this...
