Gap on drivers door between window and seal

Hi,

On the drivers door there is a gap about 1/2cm wide from the outside of the window and the window seal.

The gap lets quite abit of water inside the door which has in turn soaked the speaker wires etc, for now ive rammed 5/6 sponges down there to help in soaking the water up but I know this won't work in the long run.

Is there some sort of clip thats snapped inside that will need changing? Or has the metal work just bend out or something? You can push the top of the door seal back inso its flush with the glass but then it just flexes back out anyway when the pressure is removed.

How could the door cards be removed so I can have a closer look, and has anyone else ever had this problem?

I think you'll find sealant round the edge. If you leave the sealant alone, the door card'll probably just stick straight back on - no new sealant required.

P.S. Don't know if there's any difference between phase 1 and phase 2 door cards.
