Gear box oil change

Just a quicky

Doing an oil change on my gear box, is the drain nut on the box the same size and type as the sump plug?

I think they are both an 8mm Square. I'm also doing a change soon and want to know if the washer for the sump is the same as for the gearbox?

From memory i think the washer is different, just go in to renault and ask for a gear box sump plug washer, I got a new washer from renault £0.37p lol some things are still cheap!

Think the washer may actually differ. Anyhow they're cheap as chips.

Done the gear box oil change, so easy to do and what a difference it makes. I used 3 litres of fuchs TITAN SINTOFLUID 75W-80 and gear changes feel so much better. My gear changes use to be stiff not any more makes the car feel so much nicer.

I think it's a copper crush washer you need.

37p for a washer from renault!!!! Jeezzz Price of copper these days am suprised ther not a tenner by now!!!

t'is indeed a copper washer on the gearbox. both use an 8mm square key
