Gear Gaitor and Gear Knob

Alright guys. Ive ordered a new gaitor from my local dealer's. Was just wondering if i have to take the gear knob off or will the new gaitor fit over it. Cheers.

New gaitor will go over it, simply pops out of the centre console and then cut the cable tie from around the neck of the gearstick. New one simply tighten the cable tie and then pop it into the centre console not before you cut the tie down though.
