From what I've researched it involves a lot of effort, by the end people just get fed up and cut it off.

Do a search, I think the general consensus is to heat it up and pull.

You just need something like a big wrench and it twists off..its just stuck on with strong fishy smelling glue.

Big pair of grips, and pull like a b*****d! You'll most probs wrip the material though.
