Gear Knob!!

How do you take of the old gear knob?

i used brut force and ignorance, as well as a pair of mole grips, with some cloth around the knob to prevent slipping, they are held on quite well so the more leverage the better

twisted it and it came of abit too easily!

usually bonded on. On the shaft are small splines

Took off the gear knob, and yes it has spines underneath but the new knob I got hasnt got the spine slits for it to fit in

it should usually just attach via an allen key.........on the aftermarket knob im talkin about

ak16v, does it look like a small hard plastic thing stuck on top of the gear stick? If so you need to take a hacksaw to it and then the new one will go on.

its a will knob I got from leigh, new fron reno, so should it not go striaght on without any hacksawing?
