Gear selecting issues

I have an X reg Clio Sport, and it was fine when we first bought it. However now, on long journeys the gears start being really hard to change, you can declutch all of them easily, its selecting another gear thats the problem. Sometimes double declutching works, but sometimes you have to do that 3 or 4 times before it will work and thats not really helpful in queues.

1st gear now when you select it makes the car sound like its about to stall, and the whole car shakes. It does that anyway in neutral, but its a lot worse in 1st.

So any help please?

clutch or thrust bearing on its way out. Either way i would get a new clutch and thrust bearing installed. Mine had these symptoms before my clutch finally gave in.
