Gear stick movement.

So lets say I'm just driving along at 30 in 3rd gear, hand on the gear stick. So anyway I'm driving along hand one hand on the gear stick and one on the wheel, now when I accelerate I can feel the gear stick move, then when I take my hand off the throttle I can feel the gear stick move back to where it originally was before I accelerated. Anyone have any idea if this is normal?

Check your engine mounts.

1.2 by any chance? They all do it, nothing to worry about.

Don't drive along with your hand on the gearstick either it's not good for it.

Yes 1.2 are you sure? Also what would be the reason that its not good for it?

Because it is not designed to have you resting on it all the time wears the joints out quicker iirc.

i have a 1.2 16v clio and mine does it. its completely normal due to renault building these engines as cheap as possible
