Part number? size? Where can i get one from, as obviously i can't remove it then go drive somewhere to get a replacement!

I take it you don't men the washer for the gearbox fluid thats the 10~50p (changes price a lot) washer made of copper part number doesn't matter but its in the sticky on the forum.

yeah it's the copper washer that goes on the drain plug.

Yeah its a copper washer you want, you won't have to pay more than a £1 for one

How hard is it to ask the parts department at Renault for the washer, and voila, you have it, all for 75p.

Cos i'll go there, they won't know what a 172 is, they won't have it in stock, and when it arrives will be a normal clio one that won't fit after i've drained all the oil and now have no way of driving anywhere.

Same washer for all of the gearboxes.

You have a point, although the garage will have trays full of them in the spares room, take your original one get them to go out back and find a new one thats exactly the same.

yes they will have the washer, if its the one im thinking of u cant re-use it as they compress when the plug is tightened thus creating a seal, once removed they dnt create the same seal and tend to leak.
