gearbox going?

have been having trouble selecting first for a while now, even when standing still the lever sometimes won't go in (no grinding noises)
put some fortè in there...that seemed to work a little...not a lot.
it seems better when the box is cold than hot.
changed the oil yesterday, but although overall shifting seems a bit smoother the problem persists.
what gets me is that there is no grinding, could there be play somewhere that makes it block the gear or something???

mines got the same problem mate but it wont go into 2nd or 3rd

how much is a used gearbox in the UK?
and a refurb?

best route is getting the gearbox refurbed- its about £300 at agency- + obviously getting it off & on again labour wise-

worthwhile doing a clutch while your there!

Could be a clutch related problem too.

How have you been getting on with this ? Mine has problems getting into reverse and overall just stiffer gear changing these last fews weeks..
