Gearbox issue

Got a whining noise coming from my gearbox a checked me gearbox oil had to put 1.3l in so I had a look underneath found that the driversside shaft right at the gearbox has lift in it not a great lot but it is there though and there is a slight leak from the output seal any suggestion on what I can do to resolve this problem ?

Still whining after putting 1.3l in?? You can also change the shaft seal iirc

Yeah it's still whining and sometime jerks every now and then when the gearbox is warmed up

I'd say the box is in need of a rebuild tbh.

Thaught as much like I've already sent my old gearbox away to agency transmissions i prefered my old gearbox anyways the car was alot more responsive with it in. I just wanted a second opinion tbh just hope my car survives until I get the gearbox back as I start work at stupid o'clock 5.30am and no other way to get there
